DATA FROM PAYPAL
A person making a payment or contribution via PayPal will have some
identifying information sent to Danfield Media from PayPal in accordance with PayPal
policies and procedures. Danfield Media is required by law to keep proper financial
records, including such information. Danfield Media is a private entity and, with
one exception, it does not allow its financial records to be viewed by any person
or entity other than those staff members who need to view them in order to carry
out their proper duties. The one exception is any government entity of the State
of Queensland or the Commonwealth of Australia that is obliged to view such records
in the course of its lawful duties. For example, if the Australian Taxation Office
were to audit the way in which Danfield Media handles its PayPal income then officers
from the Australian Taxation Office might view financial records containing personally
identifying information during the course of the audit. Similarly, the Australian
Securities and Investments Commission, the Justice Department of Queensland, and
potentially some other agencies could conceivably have cause to view such records.
